Confirm eligibility, media, creation dates, dimensions, geography and international participation, selection model, identity visibility, fee and waiver path, rights, sale terms, commission, prizes, delivery, insurance, and return. Verify the organizer and the official application domain.

Prepare source files

Keep a master folder with color-accurate artwork images, detail views, title, year, medium, dimensions, price, availability, alt text, statement, biography, and installation notes. Follow the specific call's file type, size, count, and naming instructions; limits vary by call and can change.

Crafted Call provides in-product tools for common image crop, rotate, and ordering tasks. Use them to meet presentation requirements, but retain the original master file outside the application.

Write for the stated criteria

Answer the question asked. In a blind round, remove your name and other identity clues from documents and filenames unless instructed otherwise. For installation or time-based work, state space, power, sound, accessibility, equipment, and staffing needs clearly.

Review the full cost

Check the base fee, included entries, additional-entry cost, currency, payment method, refund policy, shipping, customs, framing, commission, and insurance. Use the published waiver process if needed; a waiver request should not affect jury review.

Pre-checkout confirmation is implemented in controlled rollout, so some Crafted Call applications may offer an additional final confirmation step. Regardless of interface, review the visible total, selected work, contact details, and agreement before payment.

Submit and preserve evidence

Do not wait for the final minute. Upload, preview, and correct images while support is available. Save the prospectus, final application, receipt, confirmation, and files. If edits are allowed before deadline, verify that the latest version is actually submitted.

Handle a late invitation

A legitimate late-submission invitation should identify the organization, call, scope, and deadline through an official route. It does not guarantee acceptance unless it explicitly says so. When uncertain, contact the organization using details from its known website rather than replying to the message.
